Helvetia is a mid-size all-lines insurer, which generates similar revenue streams from its non-life and life insurance business. Geographically, the business is strongly based in the foreign markets of Germany, Spain and Italy in addition to the company's domestic market of Switzerland. External expansion is progressing basically in small steps. But, the take-over of Nationale Suisse was a large external expansion for the group.This includes also the 2020 realizied Caser acquisition in Spain.
